My network "card" crashed and burned last week and I installed a different one. Even though I removed the old card with the device manager in control panel, it keeps loading every time I start my computer, even putting an icon in the tray showing it's not working.
With XP Home, I don't see an add/remove hardware wizard, only add hardware. I've tried disable, uninstall and everything else I can think of.
Any suggestions how I can permanently delete this card that isn't being used any more?
I have an HP Pavilion 7936, so it's not a "real" card in a slot, it's just a spot on the back of the PC where I can plug in the ethernet line but I'm plugging into a real network card now.
Thanks in advance!
