Since it is from your old dell PC it is most likely an OEM copy of Windows. It can only be used for that computer. You need to purchase a new copy of Windows.

or you should call microsoft and see if you can just switch computers... or register ur product key for a different PC

Im selling the old PC, so i need the old one aswell... Is there any way of validating the windows on my new PC, without altering the one from my old PC wich im going to sell?

I dont really want to buy a new windows disk, i dont have the money becuase i only just bought my new sytem PC

One copy of XP per computer's the name of the game. The old OEM disc goes with the Dell. For a new PC, you'll need to follow SFR's advice and get a new copy of XP.
