Can't view https sites

Hello all,
My friend has computer with dial up internet, she was not able to access Sites that are https, for example, she can access www.hotmail.com, after she had put the username and password, always the page can't be displayed.
Any help about it.
 
hmmm,i know it sounds dumb, have you tried clearing the cache of IE ? temps etc.. ?
and what about your AV and firewall arent they blocking anything ?
 
Well, I do clean Cache, offline files, temporary.
I'd symantec Antivirus (client), I'd the windows XP default firewall..
but the strange problem is that I'd login to my account using firefox and then it deny me after one day working perfect with it
 
I'd cleared the cache
delete offline files,
I'd symantec antivirus (client), and the default firewall of XP SP2.
The strange problem here is that I'd login to my account using firefox during a whole day, after that a problem reoccurred in firefox
