Can't write data on H.D.

Hi,

I can't write any data on any partition of my hard drive. When I try to, here is an alert:
"Disk is protected from writing. Remove safety switch or use another one."
(translated from Polish as I'm not fully English-speaking). I just can't save/edit anything on any partition of my HDD. This is my second disk, not the bootable one.

OS: MS Windows XP Pro
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB 32MB cache

check hdd jumper setting. there are some hdd wich you can enable/disable writing using jumper setting. the jumper settings are written on the hdd label. if this is now working check for viruses.

Could you tell me what it says in polish?
Did you translate it yourself or did you use an online translator.
Or did someone you know translate it?
The good thing for you is that i happen to be Polish.. :D
