Card comparison

I was looking at the HD 2400 (Best PCI I can find, I only have a PCI slot), I have a mobility m10 (radeon 9600), and I was wandering how much better the HD 2400 would be in games ( I know they are not good gaming cards), 3D programs (like auto-cad), and if it is woth getting. I play old games like Age of Empires ( I cannot max out shadows and stuff cuz of my card), Half Life, and most games before 2006.

Thanks

There's no real point to getting a PCI video card. I mean any card will beat onboard graphics (to some extent) but if you wish to play games I would look at finding a mobo with a PCIe slot. Plus, if your motherboard doesn't have a PCIe slot, chances are it uses DDR RAM and has a single processor, all of which aren't good for gaming.

Thanks for the response but I am not looking to play the latest games just my favorites before ( because my radeon mobility 9600 has trouble playing some games at the higher settings because of its limited 64 mb ram). Thanks again.

look into the ati x1300 and ati x1550, thats prolly your best bet although are overpriced...

i recall my ati 9250 playing AOE II on max...i dunno if that helps though ha
