Card work with this mobo?

Wondering if this XFX geforce 7950gt will be fine with my MSI K9N4 SLI-F mobo

i've heard the 7950 is a much better card than the 8500/8600 gt series so just wondering if thats right. I wasn't sure about compatibility if it had to be a MSI card to work with my MSI motherboard. Thanks

From what I read the mobo only supports 8xon the PCI-e. I would put the money on a better mobo first. But for the money your paying on that Nvidia Check out the new cards that ATI has released.

Many older/cheaper SLI boards run at 16x single and 8x SLI. I know that's how mine is. However, in most cases there's little to no noticeable performance loss.

The 7950 is still a very fast card. I've not checked out prices, but it's faster than the 8600GTS. Though I'm not sure how much of a loss you may have when games take more advantage of DirectX 10...

Any PCI-Express card should work with the board, regardless of brand or anything like that.
