Case fan needed (120 MM)

I am looking to buy a 120mm case fan from UK. Does anybody have any suggestions?

It should connect to mobo, and have the greatest airflow as possible.

well theres one for 70 bucks that has a airflow of 265cfm..
but theres alos a thermal take that has a airflow of 80cfm for around 12 bucks

haha the first one is powerful. im looking to find one as cheap as possible, so i may find some local markets/shops instead.

why not, my other fans are connected to it... and also then i could use the speedfan to slow it down when case temp is low. i thought most fans connect to mobo anyway.

has anyone considered a hairdryer? that could be taped to the back or side of the case and switched on when needed.

The thing about a hairdryer is that it will be extremely inefficient. Some people are so paranoid about fan grilles obstructing airflow... have you ever looked inside a hairdryer (if you haven't there's lots of heating coils :) )?

Actually I meant that in terms of air obstruction, I figured it would be set to non-heating... I really should have specified that LOL :)

DONT!!!!! might fry your MOBO

wtf?

lol seriously i highly doubt that it will fry your motherboard, especially if your using a fan thats designed to use the 3 pin connector on the motherboard.....thats what its made for! :P

i didnt say it "will" fry your MOBO, i said it "might", so chances are 50/50, it also depends on how much power the fan needs and how much the MOBO can take(specification) so personally i dont reccomend it, 3 pin connectors purpose is not solely for motherboard connections, its serves other purpose too. :)

yeah well i have all 3 of my 3 pin connectors used, one for CPU, and two 120 mm fans and i havent fryed anything...it all comes down to how sweet your power supply is :P

even with good PSU, if your MOBO can only handle so much why take a risk, PSU doesnt have anything to do with how many fans you can connect to your MOBO, it all depends on how much your MOBO can handle for the 3 connectors(max. watts/ampheres) :)

no it isnt......the only way that it could even have a chance of being risky is if the board is some generic brand like "PC Chips" or "Biostar".......dont worry about it, hook up as many fans as you wish

wtf....so its like telling him its ok to hook 10 fans on his MOBO!!!! :P

check the fan first, see how much voltage/ampheres its requires, and if its below the maximum wattage your MOBO can handle(for fans) then plug it :)

okay thanks, ill contact msi and ask them. note the fans will only be running at full speed when cpu intensive programs are running or when i left my heater on by accident. :)

Well if you've got 10 fan jacks on the mobo than yes. If the fan is too much for the mobo jack then .... the fan simply wont power or it will run underpowered..
