Case Fan Question

My case has openings for three fans. One in the front bottom, one in the top back, and one in the side middle. I'm using the front as an intake and the rear as an exhaust. My question is how should I set-up the side fan? I was thinking as an intake to blow more air on the CPU area... or would it be better to use as an exhaust to help remove hot air?

Thanks in advance.

side intake.
top fan should be exhaust, cause heat travels up.

read that wrong.
if you wanted to, you can add an exhaust on the top of your case.

side fan, intake.
front, intake,
back, exhaust

I don't have a front intake fan, I have the two side ones as the intake ones and the PSU sucks air out, I'd make it an intake fan...

Would it be bad for me to get an exhaust fan?

Just an update. I finally got a round to switching my side case fan from exhaust to intake. My temps dropped a lot!! From 35/52 to 32/48 idle/load.

thanks a lot for the advice. Worked great!!

good to hear.

Id imagine a top exhaust would work to. If you wanna mod a fan hole or your case has it already.

Iam pretty sure ur temps will decrease.
