What is the best way to setup multiple fans onto one power line?
I am building a computer from scratch. This pretty much includes the case as well. The case is a MountainMods case and I am trying to setup the case fans. However, I am unsure on the best way to do this.
I have 5 rows of three 130mm (3 pin) fans (for a total of 15 fans). What I would like to do is wire the fans such that each row of three fans is controlled by a single control knob on a fan controller. This setup would allow me to control each row of fans with their respective control knob on the 5 knob fan controller. However, what can I use to wire the fans to a single line connected to the control knob?
TFC Triebwerk fans are wired such that they can be daisy chained in a series from one fan to the next. Is there anything that allows something like this for normal fans? For example, is there a wiring harness that allows you to wire one fan to another and then another and finally into a power line? I'm thinking the best way to do this might be with several Y-cables. Or, would something like this be better:

If anyone knows of better solutions, please let me know.
My last question is this: Are there any fan controllers that allow you to switch from running a fan one way and then reversing it? For example, I would like a controller that would allow me to turn the knob one way so that the fans act as exhaust fans. Later, if I wish, I would like the controller to allow me to turn the controller the opposite direction until the fans start spinning the opposite direction and become inlet fans. My guess is this would be more a function of what direction the fan is mounted. However, just maybe there is a way to do this with a controller instead. It would be a great way to experiment with settings to get the best airflow.
