Case Fan Speed

Is there any way of slowing down just the case fan speed that connects to the motherboard so I can have it running very slow. I can control it using asus software but it also slows down the cpu fan which I want to run at normal speeds using cool n quiet.

No that doesnt work first thing I have tried. Just unplugged it for now! Secondly this might sound stupid but now the hard drive noise is getting annoying my drive is a few years old, can u buy quieter hard drives or anything??

You should be able to control your CPU and Chassis fans separately. I looked at your manual online and it’s similar to my ASUS MB fan setup.

4 Pin CPU fan with BIOS set to “PWM” gives you three speed settings via BIOS, and chassis fans have separate speed settings. You can run more than one fan off the CHA1 fan header if you need to with this. I’m able to separately control the speed of four case fans plus the CPU fan using just the BIOS.

Thank You very much, I did look through my bios but missed that after going through everything I now have the cpu and case fan speeds auto adjusting to the system temps and its much more quiet. I am going to buy something to make my hard drive more quiet also as im getting fussy with noise..
