Anyone know of a good case that is semi mobile? in terms of mobile i mean good quality but not super heavy like the corsair 800d. mainly using for lan parties etc. a buddy of mine wants me to build him a good solid case that he can bring where ever he goes, but doesn't want to lug around something heavy.

if he can afford it, this seems like a great thing for him, not sure about the airflow and all though, might be a good thing to look at the cheap water cooling systems like the h2o 620 or h60

For portable lanparty computer? It seems like quite a risk to tug a liquid cooled system around.

thanks for the suggestions, he really like the thermaltake lanbox. but he wants something to fit a full atx. i suggested to just buy a test bench setup lol. i dont think you can find something that will be able to fit a full ATX mobo in. the lanboy air he says is too big XD. his goal is to be able to put in his suitcase. i laughed at him thinking about how suitcases are treated @ the airport. but hey its his money :) his reasoning is:

He travels overseas often and doesn't want to buy a new gaming laptop (being that he already has an i5 2500k and the new 7970.

i suggested that he get one of those hard camera case with the foam interior. and just assemble his comp when he lands XD

gl to him

nothing smaller than the lanboy air will be able to hold a full atx mobo and still be portable, and what's wrong with mATX, he won't need a second gpu and a mATX will be fine with only one gpu.

There are no portable ATX case. ATX case is fine for gaming build as long as he doesn't go SLI. I built my gaming rig 5 years ago with a Q6600, ASUS sound card, TV tuner, 4 gigs of ram, 1 3.5" hard drive and 1 2.5" SSD, DVD drive, 660 watt PSU and now a GTX 560 Ti. If he knows what he's doing he can build a plenty powerful computer on a microatx platform.
