Casette adapters

Don't spend too much on those... They don't have very good quality. I've tried a few in the past and none work too well. My dad even has a couple MP3 players that look like cassette tapes(obviously so they can be played from a cassette player and even record!) They have adjustments for the head but the quality still isn't that great.

Sometimes a better option would be to get one of these FM transmitters that plays the sound on some FM station. if you have a newer car with a good FM radio, this typically works quite well. I know it works great in my dad's 99 S10 and mom's 2004 Jeep Liberty. However, it DOES NOT work well in my 93 Cherokee... And I do have an aftermarket stereo.

Ok, thanks. I originally was going to get the iRiver transmitter, but a tape adapter for $20 seemed enticing. I guess I'll get the transmitter after all.

Neither will give you great quality, but personally, I do beleive the trasmitter is the best if you got a good antenna/radio... It also helps if you have a CD player and want to use your MP3 player ;)

Dad found a really neat MP3 player that plugs into your cigarette lighter and plays music from most any USB flash drive for I think $20 at Sam's. It also had an input for anything else that had a headphone jack... It was an FM trasmitter, BTW. I don't know if they have them anymore, but I do remember seeing them other places, just usually more expesnive.

I had a monster fm transmiter for my car and it wasnt all bad. It pretty much sounded like the quality you would get from a radio. I eventually got an cd player with aux input and the quality is awesome. I'm not sure how well the cassette quality would be.. I would probably go with an fm transmitter if I was in your shoes...
