I just recently purchased the Sapphire 4890 1gb and am very, very pleased with it. It eats through Crysis at 1900x1080 and just about anything else i throw at it. However, there's one thing that bugs me (it's not really a problem, just a question).
I open up CCC, and the ATI Overdrive says the GPU is clocked at 625 Mhz. Now i know this can't be correct, the card eats through games and it couldn't possibly do that at this speed, however, i did read that the card underclocks at idle to save power. Even minimizing ingame keeps this readout in CCC, but no performance drop at all, it runs seamlessly.
Is this a driver problem or just how the CCC reads. I'm not really sure why it's doing this.
Thanks.
