CCleaner: is there a better program?

Hi, I have had to install and uninstall a program several times, but also installed and uninstalled other programs too.
I wanted to clean my "C". I am thinking of using CCleaner, but I am afraid that it will make some mess.
Can you tell me if there is a program that is safer and more reliable than CCleaner?
Thanks!!

Generally you only want to use Ccleaner to remove temporary system and internet files and nothing else. Don't even use the registry cleaner part of it. You would use revo uninstaller to remove leftover program files that weren't removed during uninstall.

You can try built-in Windows tools like Storage Sense. It automatically deletes temporary files, old downloads and previous Windows installations. Just make sure to turn it on first. You can also set how often it runs
