i know another stupid question by me lol. But ok i had a question about when you open ccleaner and click registry, then scan for issues, what are these items that come up? and can i just say fix selected items? or could something get messed up by doing that?

There is a tiny chance that something could go wrong, which is why it asks you if want to back up the registry before continuing. However, I've been using this program for years and never had a problem.

ok, so what exactly could go wrong if you say fix items? and what exactly does ccleaner do when you say fix items?

It fix your registry so little things like booting up your computer are much faster. and I dont know how to explain what could go wrong but it has with other programs before...

for example double clicking on programs won't always open and you get blue screen errors resulting in a restart in computer... thats why they offer the back up.. just in case

CCleaner ask if you want to save a back up. I can consider it safe and used flawlessly for years. worse case would be startup and do a recovery from the CCleaner backup or even a system restore from windows. Never happened though. There are other cleaners that have got me into trouble. and don't use em.

You can also try the EUSING FREE REGISTRY CLEANER version 2.0.I have been using it since version 1.0 and NEVER had any problems. Its a very good tool.:good:
