CD Detection error....

help me pls....

i bought a new DVD drive and tried to replace my old DVD drive...

but after i connect it to my IDe cable... both CD and DVD drive cannot be seen in the my computer... but when i unplug either one of the drive, one can be detected... and i only have one slot for IDE coz my mobo is for sata...

help me pls...

On the back of the dvd drive, there should be some pins, and 2 of the pins should be covered by a little plastic "jumper". Now, both drives should have this. Set the DVD drive to slave, and the cd drive to master. It should tell you on the back which are which.
