CD/DVD drive no longer works with CD, ok with DVD??

My CD Drive on my laptop stopped working when I was burning an audio CD with Nero. It still works ok with DVD's. Can anyone advise me as to how to fix this or confirm that it is a hardware problem?
 
Does it recognize any cd's? If it doesn't read any cd's then one of the eyes is bad on the drive. If its still under warranty get it replaced.
