Cd/DVD Drive problem

Once again I was a moron. While my drive was open i bumped it with my leg and now it will not eject. Is there anyway to fix it?
 
What do you mean you can't open it? So you pressed the button and nothing happens? There is a little hole on the drive's face somewhere, poke it with a paperclip and the tray should come out.
 
Yes, Elitehacker is right. There usually is a emergency pin hole, Where a small paper clip or tooth pick can be inserted and the Optical Drive will perform a emergency eject.
 
Comp doesnt detect my dc rom

Hi.
My name is Robert.I am having problems with my computer cd rom drive.It worked fine till i had some virusses.I had to quarantine and delete some corrupted files.Now all of the sudden,when I put a disc in the cd room,any disc,the rom doesnt respond and comes with a message,(insert disc into drive),can anyone help me?

Hope you guys can help me.How do I do that?I bought the comp of my friend and I have no software with it.How do I find the driver which I need?Thank you for the warm welcome MAKMILLION.

If you're using Windows, follow this scheme;

Click Start>Right Click 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'>Click 'Device Manager'>Click the '+' symbol next to your CD/DVD drive>Right Click your CD/DVD drive and select 'Update Driver Software' ... then you'll select something to the effect of 'find driver(s) automatically' and it should check locally (on your HDD) then on the internet for the proper driver(s).
 
Hey Makmillion,I have done what you have suggested,and it hasnt worked.What else can I do,it comes back witha message that it couldnt find a driver better the the one I have installed.
 
Try finding the make and model of your drive and search Google for the most recent drivers, download them and install.. then reboot your PC and see if that helped.
 
Hi,the model of my cd rom is sony cdu5231,I cant seem to find any drivers,do you know a website where I could find it?:(
 
Hi I have been looking on the net for the past few days,adv can not find a driver for my cd rom,can anyone help me please?
