CD/DVD Drive Question?

Hi, i have a new computer with a CD drive that discs go in sideways, My question is the plastic platform i place the disk on wobbles a bit and moves around easy if i move it.. Are they supposed to be loose? And move like that? I was told yes as its flimsy plastic and there is not much support when there open.. But wanted to confirm it here..

Yeah we have one of these at work as well. Very flimsy but the disc has never fallen off that little tab in the disc drive.

I see, i'm not too worried about it just wanted to make sure if it was normal otherwise i was going to take it back to the store.
