cd/dvd drive

When I insert a cd or dvd in either of my drives they can't be read by the drive. What should I do?

Do they show up in Device Manager or in My Computer

try checking if the cables are all pluged in. if that doesn't work try downloading drivers from the company that makes them

Try a different cable if you have the connectors in properly along with the power plugs on both drives. Make sure you mastered and slaved the drives correctly with the master at the end of the cable. Also see if the connector for the cable is down in the socket at the board end.

yep

uh... insert it and then go to media player and click now playing, then click cd drive

Can I possible see a picture or diagram on how to check if my drives are plugged in?
