Hi,
A few days ago I had to system restore my new computer ( a minor issue that had nothing to do with my pc really), after that I notice when trying to install a program on cd it just wont read the disc. From computer, then devices with removable storage, when I double click the program icon it just keeps loading, like its trying to open the program but cant, sometimes I get a ''computer, not responding'' The disc will open and install on a different computer with the same OS. So its not the disc. This problem only started after I made the system restore. Another thing, when I turned on the pc today the first thing that popped up was the BIOS screen. I just hit exit then it went right to windows.. Please advise, Thanks
I also notice on startup, for a spilt sec there is a black screen with white letters saying something...but cant read , its only on the screen for a half a sec
OS Windows 7 pro
Update: I took off the pc cover, unplugged the cables coming from the cd/dvd drive, and plugged them back in. Its now working.
