cd-r burner = coasters

My burner seems to be working properly, but after finalizing, I check the disk properties and it says 0 files, 0 mb left. I made two good disks, now all coasters. Need to figure out if burner just shot out, or was I doing something right before, but wrong now. I don't use the burner much, just for the kids or maybe a travel cd, so I hope it's my fault...
 
Try a different program, if a different program works then it is most likely a problem with WMP11. If the other one coasters too then it may be your drive.
 
Downloaded "deep Burner". Drive seemed to stop spinning about half-way thru burn process. In the end, only six of eighteen tracks actually burned...Why would burn drive stop, other than faulty drive??
 
I´d suggest using Imgburn as your burning program.

What sort of blank media are you using ?
Verbatim are very good . and are very cheap. Taiyo Yuden is also very good but harder to find.
