CD-R help

I am a rookie when it comes to computers but I have a problem. I put all my digital pictures on my desktop and have deleted them from my camera. My plan was to burn them onto a CD-R like I have done on my laptop.

The problem is when I put a blank CD-R into my desktop it says please enter disk into drive D. I know the CD/DVD player is working because I can view other CD-R's that I have burned from my laptop.

I tried installing Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.01 that came with my laptop and it said it was incompatible.

Also, I do not have a tab that says recording in properties of the D: drive.

I am in deep trouble with the wife if I can't download these pictures to a CD-R so any help would be appreciated:)

thanks Trizoy. It looks like it's not free anymore. It says that I need a serial number and that a free demo will be available soon.

Try Nero or if you want a free solution, DeepBurner

Believe me that's a very good thing. IMAPI is horrible.

try Alcohol 120%, CloneCD, or Nero 6
their the best...
A120 and CloneCD are image applications ... and while you could hack out an image using another program and then burning to A120/Clone ... that would be a bit of a roundabout route. Nero, if you noted, has been suggested before
