CD ROM Problem!!

My cd rom keeps opening and closing and I dont know what to do .I got a Compaq Presario , and I had it for 1 year . The cd rom use to open and close for a short while but now its like crazy !! What could be the problem ?

p.s I scanned my pc with norton anti-virus and nothng was detected
 
The last drive I saw doing that was on it's last leg. Will it do this when you're not in windows? Say...if you leave it at the BIOS setup for a while, does it still eject?
 
I didnt try Bios yet ,could u plz tell me how to do that cos I am never done that before .
 
could u also tell me how to reinstall the drive that might work?

I assume when you say reinstall the drive you mean the drivers, which I seriously doubt would have any impact on this problem...

As for the bios, it should tell you when you boot your computer. It's probably the DEL key.
