CD Software Menu

I'm putting together a CD for my sister with all the software I put on her Laptop kind of like a restore disk.

I want to know if there was a way to make a menu that auto runs when the CD is put in and allows her to click the software title (or an icon) to start the install. Let me know.

I have Nero 7 if it's do able in there just let me know how.

Getting something to run when you pop the disc in is just a matter of making a autorun.ini file.... but making the thing that will be run (i.e., the menu) requires either that you know some programming (at which point you prolly wouldnt be asking) or to use a program that handles the programming for you and lets you drag-drop a basic menu.

There are better ones that are paid but this here is free. :)

Best of luck :)

I think I'll have to check it out, but what are some of the ones for sale. I don't mind paying for this since I realize its a special purpose and I can use for my self.

Interface is a bit wierd (to me at least) but once you tinker with it, its pretty niceCDMenuPro. Pretty good all around. Nice thing about this one is it can do secure-container menus (i.e., the menu unpackages the components on the fly so that people HAVE to use the manu and cant readily bypass it)

A bit interesting to work with, not as full featured but there is a free version as well Quick menu Builder Pro

A friendly layout, a bit more capable than the former, cant remember if it has a secure container or not AutpPlay Media Studio

Sme i've not tried
Wisco Menu Builder

Hope things work out, I would suggest trying the demos of some of the others, they might serve your purpose better, never know.
