Yeah, if you're talking about the mini-CDs than, more than likely your drive just won't recognize the mini ones. Try putting a full size CD in the drive and see if that will work...
Don't all modern drives support them? Just make sure that the CD is placed in the dent intended for it. I never had nay problems with them and I have benn using them for over 7 years.
