CDRW problems! Please help!

Having just purchased a new CDRW I decided that it would be a good idea to burn some audio CDs to listen to on my sound system. However, after burning some music onto the CDs (Rewritable CDs) the CD player refuses to play them! Could it be because hifi's don't recognize RW-CDs?

Either you did not tell the cd to finalize at the end of burning the compilation or more likely your mini hi-fi system does not support playback of audio on cd-rw's
