Thought it will atleast be good for surfing.... but turns out not! surfing are super slow even on broadband cable connection. Takes about 2,3,4 sec to load pages especially in sites that has lots of flashes and ads.

Is there anyway for me to make it faster? I mean I jus want it to surf the web faster..... is there anyway for me to make it faster by software and not hardware?

so lots of ads ? what r u onto ? IE6 ?
browsing the net has nothing to do with hardware, i can see your hardware is extremely outdated.
anyways you need to tweak IE or mozilla

IE : (regedit)

go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
expand "SOFTWRARE"
then "MICROSOFT"
then "WINDOWS"
then "CURRENT VERSION"
and "INTERNET SETTINGS"

MaxConnectionsPer1_0server & MaxconnectionsPerserver indicates
the maximum no. of connections per page...

Firefox :
open FF and type "about:config" in the address bar.
and look for the following

double click : " network.http.pipelining" = set it to TRUE
double click : " ...pipelining.maxrequest" set value to "10"

or better yet, download TWEAK XP

hope this helps

I use crazy browser for primary.

surfing in crazy browser are slow.... even tried IE and slow.

Any way to make faster for crazy browser?

wtf is crazy browser??
where did u download this??
sounds like malware....

try downloading Spybot S&D or ad-aware and scan your computer with those programs
delete anything that the program says you should and see if that speeds things up..

and um... interesting username:D

Crazybrowser is an IE-shell. So it is basically IE.

Changing the max connections won't do a thing. Do a clean install of windows.

find out what socket the cpu is and buy a second hand one off ebay. you could probably get a 2 ghz one for cheap.

I may be wrong, but I'm quite sure a celeron 466 is a socket 370 or slot1. The fastest S370 is something like 1.4GHz, and the fastest Slot1 is a about 1GHz. However, few boards support that 1.4GHz, and you may be limited depending on the age of the motherboard.

yeha i was looking at upgrading my parents computer. it was a socket 370. ah well. 1 ghz is very fast compared.
