celeron or Pentium?

I am looking for a moodest notebook to buy.
I found celeron and Pentium.. some says that P is better than C.. but is the difference between them that much or it is something not mentioned!!
the Notebook what I found is 700 MHz.

700mhz...thats pitiful lol. i would go for pentium...but if you can afford better than 700mhz i think i would wait on getting one period.

By sheer technicality based on the names, the Celeron is better as 1st Celeron was a P2-Celeron, which is better than a Pentium. Naturally arent talking about those chips
