Dear All,
i am currently using Centrino 1.6 GhZ with 2 GB Ram. i use this system for my Mechanical structure Simulations. but it takes more than double time as compare to PIV 2.4 GHz. Now i am thinking that i had made a mistak by purchasing this Centrino. i shouldn't go for this. can anyone suggest anything good for me for the better use of this system for Engineering Simualtions.

Akee

well apparently my centrino 2.0ghz is about equivalent of a P4 3.2 or 3.4 so i am thinking that a centrino 1.6 should be able to keep up with a p4 2.4 without much problem.i am thinking that something with a dual core processor would be better for you. core duo or the amd equivalent

There are some programs where the Pentium 4's higher clock speed has an advantage, and this may be one of them.

Do you have a Pentium M, or Core Duo?
