centrino

Centrino means that your notebook has a Pentium M, and also has special hardware thats designed for more mobile users.

Celeron simply means that your notebook has a Celeron Processor in it.

Definition from google: Centrino (also called Centrino Mobile Technology) is a marketing initiative from Intel for a particular combination of CPU, mainboard chipset and wireless network interface in the design of a laptop personal computer. The combination currently consists of a Pentium M processor, the Mobile Intel 915 Express chipset family or the Intel 855 chipset family, and an Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 (IEEE 802.11b), PRO/Wireless 2200 (IEEE 802.11bg) or PRO/Wireless 2915 (IEEE 802.11abg) network connection.

centrino is a platform that supports both pentium m and celeron m processors.

centrino is all about low power consumption and wireless connectivity, i'm sure there's some more details but thats the main points of it

yeah I'm pretty sure it won't say centrino with a celeron, but then again I've never stooped to buying a celeron, so if it makes you happy, "PM's are better than Celeron's"

Exactly the deffinition from google ;)

But hes right, im almost positive that a Centrino only has a PM, not a Celeron.
 
You can have Centrino technology in three ways.

1.

-Intel Pentium M
-Mobile Intel 915 Express Chipset or Intel 855 Chipset
-Intel/PRO Wireless Network Connection

2.

-Intel Core Solo
-Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset
-Intel/PRO Wireless 3945/AGB Network Connection

-Intel Core Duo
-Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset
-Intel/PRO Wireless 3945/AGB Network Connection
