Centronics Printer to DB9 port???

I have an ancient laptop that is used to interface with a piece of chiropractic anaysis equipment. It's a big machine that connects using one of the laptop's DB9 ports and one of the laptop's DB25 ports. There is a second DB25 port on the laptop that I have been using to connect to a printer (which connects using a DB25 to Centronics standard printer cable). So, the whole setup, as of now, requires the computer to have two DB25 ports and at least a single DB9 port. I am looking to upgrade the laptop due to the fact that the one currently in use is huge and heavy. I don't want to lug it around to jobsites with me. However, any "newer" laptop would only have a max of one DB25. I need to be able to print. My question is, Is there a way to hook this printer up to a new laptop via a DB9 port?

Thank You in advance for any help.

Do you need just one DB9 or the printer ports as well? Basically no laptops come with serial ports anymore, but you can get USB to Serial converters. Now, I don't know if one of those would actually work as mine has some incompatibilities, but it might be your only option...

As for a printer(DB25) port, a select few laptops do still come with those. I think Toshiba and IBM(Levino, or something like that) have a few models out.

Most of the IBM/Lenovo laptops do have the old parallel ports on them still, I don't believe that the Toshibas do. The IBMs are the only ones that I know of...
