challenge/budget build

would anyone want to take a challenge ?

i would need a list of every part preferably from newegg to build a complete system. every detail. if no ones up to the challenge i understand. i just had to ask.
the only consideration is about $800 or so U.S. could be alittle more but not over 1000.
to be used for basic dial-up net and some photo storage not much.

i've look at 101 and newegg but there is so much to choose from i cant even begin to start. i am really wanting a new one and looking at DELL but i want to build my own but for me this is a big deal cause what i do end up with will be "IT" for a long time. think of car shopping, its a big purchase. say i dont know anything about the different models and just pick one at random i could end up with a yugo or even worse a chrysler product then i would be stuck with something i wouldnt be happy with.

i'm afraid if i go the cheap route it'll be junk but i dont want to buy something i'll never use the potential of. i was kind of wanting specific parts to build a whole machine. so it wouldnt take me 6 months of research to start the build. i just found this site and am learning a lot. i just thought someone that is on here a lot and had the time could help.:)
but if not i need to learn anyway. it'll be a fun journey. thanks
 
it would be every single thing. from scratch. oh and at least a 19" flat screen. is it even feasible ?
speakers would be the least on my list.

Yeah, I might look into it later today see what I come up with.

BTW, $800 is a tight budget if your getting everything. It's possible though.

it is under 1,000 and you could get away with $850 if you didn't need such a good monitor or if you got a worse video card... hope this helped
 
i'm supposed to be working right now but as soon as i can i will go over this list. just glancing it looks like it would be awesome. thanks.
 
would you upgrade anything on the list above ?
say if it were $800 budget without considering monitor.
also something i thought of. i want a very quiet PC. the one i have now is so irritating.

i am currently employed at a 285 bed hospital (10 years)and i know the I.S. guys pretty good so i ask three of them seperately about building my own and everyone of them had the same answer. NO. ( not just because of me either haha ) they all said Dell has 'em for 499. they said the software already on 'em. everythings compatible, etc.
I'm new at this but i already see that the value of building out weighs the prefab ones.
