Change "Summary Page" of a picture??

When I download photos from my finepix 2600 digital camera the summary page information is wrong. Is there a way to update this so that years down the road when my grandkids are looking at them they will have correct information of time and date and so forth?

EXIF data is written the same time as the picture is taken. This records the cameras settings and also date and time.
This data cannot be edited except by an exif editor. I sometimes forget to set the date on my camera and it defaults to the year 2000.

Google EXIF and you may find something for free.
