Changing Application Data Directories

Hey everyone,

So I've had a problem with the size of C drive for a while
now. When i installed windows I was naive enough to think that
10 Gb would be good enough for it. Obviously not.

Anyway! I've found myself with 2 Gb then 1 Gb and now
it's almost depleted to between 100-300 mb.
I don't think i have to say how annoying this is.
I delete temp files and stuff and free up about 500 mb
but it goes away the next day.

I'm now looking in to switching application data directories,
because i have many programs (installed on D drive) which seem
to have 3 locations in the application data.

1 in My Username/Local Settings/Application data
2 in My username/Application data
3 in All users/Application data

There is about 1.2 Gb in there with Adobe alone!

So my question (Finally) is, can I change the directory?
If so how? And how detrimental will it be? =P
I know windows.

Thanks,
Ben

So how big is your hdd? Do you have multiple partitions? If so then you can merge them by right clicking "Computer" and hit "Manage". Then click "Disk Management" under Storage.

Really?
I was under the impression that it would corrupt
data on one or both of the drives.

I Have 3 x 500Gb HDD

1st Partition is C Drive (10 Gb)
2nd Partition is D Drive (455 Gb)

D drive has all my programs on it.

Let me know what you think.

The easiest way to do this, I think. You should just copy all your data and stuff to the extra drive and then reformat the main 2 drives. Make one drive for programs and windows and the other for all your data.

I dont know if merging them would corrupt or not so, let someone else confirm before you attempt to do so.

Thanks. But i've got like 100 Gb or Games and at least 50 Gb in Programs.
So that wouldn't be the funnest thing ever.

I'll wait for confirmation i guess
