Changing IP Address WRT54G

Hello all,

I have changed the IP Address of my router from the default one using the facility on the device (by logging in on it on IE). I then release and renew the IP Address (ipconfig /release in CMD) but my Internet access does not work.

I've reset the router and computer too but this doesn't seem to help. Do I need to change anything else as well as the IP address on the router? I've done this before and it worked fine but now I have no connection when I follow these steps.

Any ideas?

what do you mean changed the IP address of your router? i dont know what you are asking?

are you trying to set up your network with a static IP from your ISP? are you trying to change your default gateway? do you want your computers on the network to have static IPs with a dynamic IP from your ISP?
 
The IP address as in when you to to ipconfig the first line.

The default is 192.168.1.100 but I want to change by logging in to my router. I can access the device I then change the IP address and hit submit. It changes the address but I then don't have any internet connection!
