Changing my CPU to Core 2 Duo!!

I am getting aggravated at my Pentium 4 541 (yeah, outta date), it is slowing down my TDU performance. I would like to swap it out with an E6600, I have the Intel DG965WH. It won't be able to OC because of this board but, I plan to upgrade to a DS3 later. Will I have to update BIOS? Can I use this on this board for now and later swap the boards out? Does it have the E6600 have pins or contact plates?

My video card is probably gonna severly bottleneck my gaming, ah well, I am gonna buy an 8800 GTS/GTX.
