Changing Program Defaults

Hey all, recently had to install RealPlayer to be able to view some vids that a friend sent over... I dont like it at all, but it's the onyl player that can play rmvb files, lol

Anyway, it sort of set itself as the drefault program, not for file types, i can change those fine, its in the actual OS, say i hit the MEDIA key on my keyboard, it will always open realplayer, it never used to.

I know where it is in SP1 or higher but this machine is on basic XP, and i have no clue where to look for it.

Any sugestions?

it doesn't have one. The calls the keyboard makes to the system to get it to open the default media player etc.. are pretty standard, recognised by most things, i just need to be able to change the system default media player back to WMP without un-installing RealPlayer

You could always try reinstalling WMP and select it to be the default player for everything, and hopefully it would override RP's defaults.
 
Right, its ok, its fixed now.... basically it was a case of giving all file types fto realplayer, then re-doing them ALL for mediaplyer, so change it from one extreme to the other, it works now...
