Changing Ram ratios

i think he mean the ration between the the ram and the core clock, in which case there is a slight performance loss for not running the ram and cpu in sync (1:1) but this can be ofset be gains made if the ratio change is part of an overclocking solution

thats what i meant, apj101.
If i overclock the FSB at a ram/cpu ratio of 1:1, if what i read is correct, that will overclock my ram, too. Is it easy to overclock ram into instability?

what kind of ram? if it has heatspreaders which are little metal sheets that clip onto the ram, than most likely you can overclock 10-20%
