Changing user folder name in Win7?

I bought a used but faster computer with only one user. I changed the account and computer name, but the folder under users still has the previous owner’s name.
So how do I change that?
 
Leave the account there for now. I would create another account. (admin) and log off or reboot then try deleting the account. Create one or two more admin accounts for back up. make sure the new accounts have admin rights. yours might be corrupted. Nothing wrong with back up accounts. they do get corrupted sometime.
 
The user folder names don't change. In order to get them the name you want you need to create a new user account.
 
thanks guys I created an new user with a name for me, rebooted then moved all my stuff from the old user file to public and logged out.

I then deleted the the old account from the new account, but noticed that even though all the files were deleted from the old account, the old account folder was still there and the system would not let me delete it until I rebooted

So now I believe I got it together except that I lost all my Firefox preferences. I still have it on my old Vista computer and with instructions from the Firefox help I was able to copy it from the Vista computer, but I can't find the folder to past it in on Win7.

I'm assuming it is hidden and I can't find anyplace to view hidden files.
 
Open an Explorer window, then choose Organize>Folder and Search Options. Click the View tab and under Hidden Files and Folders, select to show hidden files and folders.

FWIW, I don't have Firefox preferences I care enough about to transfer the profile over. I normally just backup my bookmarks and passwords and re-import them. You could also set up Firefox Sync. It'll sync your Firefox preferences between all your PC's.

Thanks, I don’t want anything to do with sync because I don't trust anything on the internet.

I guess I should look into the backup thing. I’m just want my passwords and don’t want to have to do them one at a time.

Ok I just did that and I got it Thanks. I could not find it earler and still trying to figure out Win7 :)

Oops I guess I spoke too soon. Now I can't open FireFox at all. I guess I'll have to reinstall FireFox and try the back up method.
