Changing video cards???

I would like to know if I can take the video card out of my old computer and put into another computer that I recently got from a family member. The new computer isn't able to run in 32 bit (it can only go as high as 24bit). I know that the older computer has the 32bit option and several people have told me it is due to the video cards. The new computer is a gateway, windows xp with Intel 82815 Graphics Controller. The old computer is a Compaq, windows 98 with 3dfx Voodoo3 Video card. Is this switch possible or will I have to go buy a new video card and if so what price range can I expect to pay to simply get the new computer running in 32bit. Thanks chris

you'll need to disable your onboard video card in bios, i assume taht the voodoo 3 card goes into pci slots cuz it's an older card, so yeah you can put that card into your new computer
