I need to copy the exact font for numbers and text after it has been scanned in gimp or maybe photoshop, anyone know character recognition software which can do this?
If you want to copy the font AND the text I don't think that can be done in one go. You should get the text from standard OCR, which normally contains errors which have to be corrected. The errors depend on quality and the font. To recognize the font you can use an online service like WhatTheFont. Then you format the text, knowing the font to use.
