Charging battery on my laptop issue.

hello, I have a problem with my laptop, Dell M4800, everything is working perfectly, just my battery is not charging, I was sure it is because of faulty battery, BUT I bought new one, and new one is also not charging. I'm sure my power adapter is ok, because on my second dell laptop this power adapter is working and charging battery just fine. Any idea what might be a problem????????
 
Most likely the charging port is bad and needs replaced, its one of the most common issues with laptops. Did the new battery work when you first installed it? If it had any power, it would have at least turned on briefly.
 
Most likely the charging port om the laptop itself needs replacing. You'll need to take in somewhere and have them determine what needs to be done. If it's an old laptop then I would just get a new one. The m4800 is 10 years old this year.
