Chatrooms?

Hello everyone! I am not sure if I am posting in the right forum or not, but I am looking for a chatroom or chatrooms to meet new friends.... I used to be able to go into Yahoo chatrooms, but now they are all boots. Can anyone help me out with a couple good chatrooms?

Yahoo chat rooms are one of the best chat rooms I ever used.
Yon can use Ymlite, it is a yahoo chat room client with anti-boot protection.

If you don't want to use yahoo chat rooms anymore, then you can use paltalk http://www.paltalk.com/

I was going to start a new thread, but it fits in here:
How do i use IRC chatrooms? On mIRC, do I connect to any server and type "/join #servername"? cause all the rooms are empty. Anything special I need to do?
