Cheap, cool case. Whats the catch?

Funny how an expensive PSU ends up being crappier than a cheap andreally cheap one
ya in this case that is verry true (in my opinion out of these the cheapest is the best). You can buy a 500W ultra psu with all the cables for only $70. Its nice that it is also ultra which is usualy a brand u can trust. I bought one and am happy with it exept the cords it comes with should come out at 90 degrees on the side of the cord u plug in the psu, it crams everything up against the burner. otherwise i would reccomend it to u or anyone else wanting to build a comp

That "really cheap" powmax has more power @ 12v than that $105 thermaltake. Wow...
Yeah "cheap price = cheap psu" is only a guideline (and really it should prolly be denoted "chrap psu => cheap price" and even that is slightly off but more correct ;))

Hardly. The Ultra 400W PSUs are trash. Furthermore there have been reports that the 2005 series of the 500W modular PSUs arent as voltage stable as their 2004 batch but their 400W PSUs are bad for sure

I like those PSUs a lot (the 500W modular ones, not the 400W ones) ... although some friends of mine have noted that the 2005 batch of said PSUs have some voltage stability issues (still within ATX specifcations though), ive not had a problem yet nor seen anything horribly out of place (ive tried both a 2004 and 2005 revision). The reason i in particular like this psu is that its one of the few ATX20 modular psus out there (most are atx24) and i have an atx20 mobo :)

I bought myself a 600w Thermaltake PSU about a month ago, worked like a dream....... till it blew up. Now im using my old 300w *!stock!* PSU that came with the case. What is it with companies like Tt. Just make a good quality product for once.......

well their HSF arent that bad. its just that when they start to make even more products that they cant reli perfect. so do some reasearch. Tt psu's suck.

I know they have a 560W and a 680W ... what are the specs (or link) to their 600W?

They're not that great either ... usually a quick lapping will make them all nice though :)

Tt psu's suck.
Not all of them. Just most of them.
