Cheap Desktop

Hey Community,

I was thinking about building a super cheap Desktop computer for like 300 Euros or so. I want to use it for lan parties. It doesn't need to be able to play high end games, just League of legend and some other stuff which is a bit more graphic intense (nothing crazy). I don't really care about the case that much, small is good.

Please help me :)

There's huge price differences in Europe, could you specify which country you're from?
A €300 build in Germany is a €375 build in Denmark, as an example.
I can't compose a full build right now, but I would either look at something like these options:
Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2PV + Pentium G3220 + best dedicated GPU you can find
Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H + best AMD APU you can find (A10-6800K preferred)
Corsair CX430 ('M' if you can afford)
Fractal Design Core 1000 or Coolermaster Silencio 352
500GB-1TB Seagate Barracuda
2x2GB 1333/1600MHz RAM (If APU, go for highest speed possible. RAM speed = more FPS on the APU platform)
But would really help if we knew the site you would be buying from.

Thanks for the answer :D

I'm from Germany

I would preferably buy off amazon

At 300 Euros you may be better off just buying something off the shelf. There comes a point where it is just easier to buy things pre-built.

Usually, the less money you want to spend, the better it is to buy something off the shelf.

AMD A6-6400K 4.1GHz: €66
ASUS F2A55-M LK2 PLUS: €49.50
Seagate Barracuda 1TB: €55
Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 4GB (2x2GB): $44
Corsair CX430M: €49.50
Fractal Design Core 1000: €36.50

Total without Windows: €301

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit OEM: €93
As you can see, Windows costs a lot when it comes to small budget builds. Do you by any chance have a copy of Windows, then this build would be better than most pre-builds, imo.
It would definitely run League of Legends, at least on medium settings (unless you're above 1920x1080, but you shouldn't do that with a €300 build)

Now, I do wanna say that my german is very rusty, and Amazon often has multiple prices on items, so I don't know if all the prices are the correct ones. But they seem to match what they should cost.

alright thank you very much :)

Yes I do, I have windows so I don't need it preinstalled.
And Yes I only need the components and the case, nothing else.

I may also be able to buy a GTX 260 for 50 euros off some guy from uni, would that be a good deal?

That actually is not a bad deal. On Amazon you can get HD 5450's or GT 620's at around €50, and the GTX 260 will smash those.
Gigabyte H81M-S2PV: €51.65
Intel Pentium G3220 3GHz: €59.50
GTX 260: €50

Total price: €349

But it will blow away the AMD build.
I used to play Battlefield 3 on medium settings with my old 9800 GT 1GB, along with my 3.2GHz Athlon and 4GB DDR2 RAM. This build is superior in every way. Except size and price. Mine was an Alienware :D

Look at this case. It's very compact. About as small as it gets for mATX boards. If you don't have an optical disk drive and more than two storage drives, it has great cable management.
You can install Windows via USB if you have a 4GB or more pendrive.

What about Sharkoon cases? They are also really cheap and small I guess. But they look better :D
