Hello,
I just signed up. :)
I'm wanting a really cheap computer to just play games on.
I will not be doing anything other than games, except for a little music and maybe using word program. I don't need internet, either.
I use Macs on a daily basis and no nothing about PC, except they are good gamer computers :)
I'm just wanting to play games you canm get for $20 at Walmart
I really would love to get one from walmart, so I can start gaming.
I have bee searching there web page, etc. But don't understand what computer would be good for my purposes.
Any help would be great! :D

I'm leaning toward the Compaq, because it is really cheap? Is it a good gamer computer?

List of computers:

Compaq SR1403WM-B Desktop System w/ 17" CRT Display, 2.0 GHz AMD Sempron

Compaq SR1503WM-B Desktop System w/ 17" CRT Display, 2.93 GHz Intel Celeron D 340

eMachines W3400 Desktop PC w/ 17" CRT Display, 2.0 GHz AMD Athlon 64 3000+

eMachines W3410 Desktop PC w/ 15" LCD Display, 2.2 GHz AMD Athlon 64 3200+

HP Pavilion A845w-b Desktop System w/ 15" LCD Display, 2.0 GHz AMD Sempron

well if ur just going to be doing some low grade gaming i would go for a sempron because there cheaper and still preform good for games

1.crap
2.crap
3.works, needs a better video card (at least 6600gt) and maybe more ram
4.even better but still neads a good video card (at least 6600gt) and maybe more ram
5.crap
My suggestion is make your own its much cheaper and you get better parts.
Make sure to have at least 1 gig of ram, good graphics card, amd 64, and you should have a pritty good rig.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Sorry, what do you mean by low grade gaming?
I'm wanting to play games like Sims, the Tycoon series.
What type of games are considered high and low grade games?
Thanks,
SM

Low would be like sims and the tycoon series in wich case eny of the computers would be fine, now if you where a high gamer with like halo and half life2 than you will want what I suggested.

EDIT: Except for the celeron, they are complete crap. I know from exsperiance.

Get the sempron if you are going to be doing low gaming, get the amd 64 if you are gunna do high gaming.

Halo and HL2 dont really fall under the "$20 walmart gaming" bin

yea buddy, that is a low grade gaming. but.. er.. so u say u ONLY use macs? so that means u wouldnt knoe a lot about pcs or ... is that true? if so, then i wouldnt recommend u building ur own pc. just get a low grade one. at least a AMD Sempron like kobaj said. and yea. dont get intergraded graphics.
