Hi All,

Not been on here in a long time.

Sold my pc earlier this year and i am really starting to miss my 200+ game collection lol.

Any hooo, i have had a really good, stable job with a nice pay package so i am hoping to get myself a nice cheap pc that i can upgrade a little down the road.

Would prefer something mini itx (Love the prodigy case)

not bothered about this gen/last gen/ gen before but would like brand new.

Dont bother about an OS.

Only need the tower.

Looking at spending £400 but if an mini itx build pushes it over i can go matx.

I would look at prices myself but a there seems to be a lot of parts on the market i am unfamiliar with and ram seems to have gone through the roof!.

Will be playing starcraft 2 and arma 3

Dont want to play on low but obviously not looking to max - Must play smoothly at 1080 medium/high.

Any help greatly appreciated.

TLDR; £400 budget, small form factor pc, medium/high on arma 3 and starcraft 2

That should probably do ARMA quite nicely. And sadly, yes RAM has gone through the roof. And does just the to wet mean no OS? If so, where did you get the OS? OEM copies only work once.

I know how OS's work ;)

And that build looks decent, how do these new athlons perform? Iv never heard of them lol, thats how long i haven't had a decent pc for.

Well these fmx athlon cpus arent very popular, so no shame :P they perform like amd apus without the igpu.

The main reason getting that is that is a quad core and overclockable.
With m-itx build, you can't get AMD FX, simply because there is no m-itx with AM3+.

While with intel, for your budget, it would be pentium dual core & non-overclockable. Since more game using multi-core, quad core would be better option.
