Cheap Graphics Card for High End Gaming?

Right now I have an alright Asus Geforce 6600 pci express. I play games like cs: source and this card doesn't handle it well so I need a new card.
How is this card:

Would it be able to run this game on full at above 40 framerate???
What other video cards should I consider that are reasonable (Below 250)

Yes, but what are your system specs? RAM? We can probably find the best card for the best price to suit the system you have.

oh, well since you have a pci-express slot then yes, get the 7600gt instead of the gs...
if you can afford it get the 7900gt. its definitely a lot better than the 7600gt..

What's the cheapest I can get a 7900 GT, aren't the 7800 GTX almost as good but a lot cheaper??? If someone can find me either of those for under 250 then I will buy one.

the GTX line costs around 550$, while the GT line is more like 250-350. Thats for both the 7800 and 7900 series.

Do you guys seriosuly think I should chip in an extra 150 dollars and go for the 7900 gt over the 7600 gt??? I mean all I need is a graphics card that will play any games above 40 fps on 1280 x 1024. I think at 150 dollars the 7600 gt, it's a steal right?
