lol, you guys are hilarious. I'll let you guys battle this one out which is the better processor, in the end just make sure it can handle linux and act as a media/website server, and by website server, were talking nothing too demanding just for two personal websites. I wanted to keep it around $200 if that is feasible.
 
well as close to that as you can get. You dont need to include the hard drive because i consider that a separate part of this.
 
You don't need dual core, I can run 2 CS:S servers on a single-core Athlon with 3 bots each no lag on a LAN. Baring in mind the HLDS is quite the power drawer.

EDIT: Never, ever have a dedicated GPU in a server if avoidable, it increases the amount of failure points.
 
Also, I dont know if this helps or not, but is it possible to run the server without a monitor and keyboard hooked up? Couldnt I just use a KVR switch or use a program to log onto the server from my main computer and control it that way? That way I could save on the cost of a graphics card and such.
 
You will need a keyboard/mouse/monitor for the install but after that you can simply use VNC (thin client linking) to connect to the server.

nice finds! I planned on using a hard drive I already had, so I could use the extra money and buy some extra ram for that board. Besides that, looks perfect. Thanks guys for all the help, any other suggestions are welcome.

For webhosing don't host it yourself. Just pay for it, mainly because home internet connections have crappy upload speeds, and most of the time port 80 incoming is blocked. Just pay the $10/month to host it.
